Allergies

Pediatric
Appropriate studies have not been performed on the relationship of age to the effects of azithromycin to treat sinusitis in children or to treat pneumonia in children younger than 6 months of age. Safety and efficacy have not been established in these age groups.
Appropriate studies have not been performed on the relationship of age to the effects of azithromycin oral suspension and tablets to treat pharyngitis or tonsillitis in children younger than 2 years of age. Safety and efficacy have not been established.
Geriatric
Appropriate studies performed to date have not demonstrated geriatric-specific problems that would limit the usefulness of azithromycin in the elderly. However, elderly patients are more likely to have heart rhythm problems (eg, torsades de pointes) which may require caution in patients receiving azithromycin.
Breastfeeding
There are no adequate studies in women for determining infant risk when using this medication during breastfeeding. Weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks before taking this medication while breastfeeding.
Drug Interactions
Although certain medicines should not be used together at all, in other cases two different medicines may be used together even if an interaction might occur. I made an order and followed up weeks later with an email asking when the shipment would arrive. Within hours I was notified by the company that the shipment was lost in transit. The outcome was that another batch. Was sent out to me at no cost. A couple of weeks after this second batch was sent out I send another email querying the shipments where about and was told it had arrived and was awaiting dispatch by the main customs facility in Sydney.
